Capanni

Francesco Capanni, aka Capacity, is a producer, multimedia composer and electronic musician. Graduated in Electronic Music at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome and in Film Music at the Conservatory of Bologna, he was an intern of Marek Chołoniewski at the Conservatory of Krakow.

Today he teaches at the Saint Louis College of Music in Milan, works as a dataset music designer for MUSI-CO (NL) — the company of composer Lorenzo Brusci — and collaborates regularly with Fonoprint Studios in Bologna.

He composed the music for the documentary "Corpi Mutanti" by Walter Bencini (Insekt Film / Sky Arte) and created music for multimedia installations with X-Plosiva and Field A1. Active in the recording industry since 2016 with projects like Abèh, Gliese 581 and BBQ, he was a performer in the "Lunar Ensemble for Uprising Seas" by Petrit Halilaj (Venice 2023).

Since 2024 he has been a session keyboardist for the project Miglio. In 2025 he won the "Soundtracks – Film Music" grant from the Centro Musica di Modena, touring alongside tutors such as Enrico Gabrielli and Whitemary. He is also the producer and arranger of "Levia Gravia", the latest album by Esera.

In 2026 "Cameo HD" is released, his latest album. With the project Capacity, Francesco explores the boundary between club electronics, soundtracks and tradition — intertwining beats, field recordings and archaic sonic materials. Research on glitch and sample manipulation represents the gravitational center of his language.
